Wipeout

It's been so long since I last painted. I think you can tell from this piece. The bottom half wasn't going quite the way I imagined it, so I grabbed the white acrylic and ... wipeooouut. Sort of. Leaving it as it is. It's done :)

Recipe #4 - Lemon & rosemary loaf

Lemon and Rosemary Loaf. It sounds so pretty and it tastes really good.

The first time I tried it I used regular butter and it turned out too salty. Yup. Big giveaway to how often I bake - hardly ever :) This time I used unsalted butter of course. I also added chopped up Van Houten cooking chocolate as a little treat for the kids and figured I should reduce the sugar from 1/2 cup to 1/4 + 1 tbspn. Everything else I followed to a T and it worked out perfectly.

Sweet potato

The water supply is back. Happy I am. During the rationing exercise, we hardly ate at home. I meant to steam this sweet potato, mash it with some flour, roll it into balls, press into patties, fry and serve hot with brown sugar.

Never happened. Obviously. It began to sprout. The shoots were so pretty I let them grow into these long tendrils. It's still there on my stove.
