My friend G wanted a black pouch with a strap so I made this pouch with a wristlet. My very first one too! Hope she likes it :)

Prototypes
Been working on some mini pouches for my Etsy shop. Made these "prototypes" from my growing pile of leftover batik, various fabric and Oi! prints.
Hope to have some in the shop soon.

Batik bags!
I've actually been quite busy these past few weeks. For the longest time I've wanted to open an Etsy shop selling my silkscreened pouches and bags but that plan has been put on hold for the time being.
Instead of waiting around till we figure things out with the silkscreens, I decided to make bags from my collection of Batik.
Here are some that I will have listed in my Etsy shop soon!
I am soo excited and nervous and happy all at the same time.
My favourite :)
I managed to make only three bags from this Batik piece and I will be keeping one for myself :)
I had to figure a way to photograph the bags where there's some light. An unused curtain railing, the window grill and bookshelf did the trick.

Batik, batik, batik
My Batik collection has grown a bit. Here are three more pieces I bought recently that I am going to turn into bags. But I'm sure you can see why I will have a hard time cutting them up. They are so beautiful as is!
The peach in the middle came in other colours too - a lilac, a pink, a blue - all of which I thought I would get another day. When I went back to the fabric shop they were all gone! I've certainly learnt the hard way that when it comes to buying batik, get it while you can. You can't find two or more batik of the same colour and design again unless, of course, you are very, very lucky.
And that's what makes them so special.
