The Hunter

We came home once to find him playing with a half dead baby snake and a very much live one in the house a few months later! We stopped leaving our bedroom door open at night because he kept bringing lizards and huge fluttering moths onto the bed while we were sleeping. But he has mellowed with age. These days he will just squeeze in between us for a good night's snooze.

Butterfly Pea Flowers

Tea from butterfly pea flowers/bunga telang from the garden. Hp camera can't quite capture 

the colour. The flowers are more blue than purple

Add lime for deep pink.

 

Abstract

Turned the 6 year old's abstract art into a bag. Acrylic paint, squeegee and cotton canvas.

Etlingera elatior

Growing in the back garden once upon a time. It has many, many names - Torch Ginger, Ginger Flower, Red Ginger Lily, Torch Lily, Wild Ginger, Combrang, Philippine Wax Flower, Xiang Bao Jiaing, Indonesian Tall Ginger, Boca de Dragón, Rose de Porcelaine, Porcelain Rose.

Here we call it Bunga Kantan.
